How Much Does Medical Weight Loss Cost in New Hampshire? Pricing & FAQ

Transparent pricing from New Hampshire's most comprehensive physician-led medical weight loss practice. Updated July 2026.

How much does medical weight loss cost at Physicians Healthy Weight Center?

Getting started costs $295, which covers your first visit with our medical nutritionist and your comprehensive medical visit with a provider, either Dr. Jennifer Warren or our nurse practitioner. Your first 12 weeks (Phase One) then cost $450 if you pay in full on the day of your provider visit, or $300 every 4 weeks. After Phase One, ongoing care ranges from $95 to $150 per month depending on the option you choose.

We believe you should know exactly what our program costs before you ever pick up the phone. No hidden fees, no surprise charges.

What does the $295 first visit fee include?

Two appointments. First, a full session with our medical nutritionist, who is part of our clinical team. Then a comprehensive medical visit with Dr. Warren or our nurse practitioner covering your medical history, medications, weight history, and lifestyle factors, so your program is built around your actual health picture, not a template.

A $95 deposit reserves your appointment and is applied toward the $295, so you pay $200 at your first visit.

What is the Phase One special?

Phase One is your first 12 weeks in the program. Pay in full on the day of your provider visit and the entire 12 weeks costs $450. Paid every 4 weeks instead, the same 12 weeks cost $300 per month, or $900 total. Paying in full saves you $450, half the cost.

How much does the program cost per month after the first 12 weeks?

Ongoing monthly care can be as low as $95 per month when you prepay a package of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. The longer the package, the lower the monthly rate. Prefer no commitment? Recurring payments are $150 per month, or simply pay $150 per single visit.

You can change your payment approach at any time, and our team will walk you through the options at your visit.

What am I actually paying for each month?

More than appointments. Your monthly plan includes access to both medical visits and nutrition visits, plus everything that happens between visits: prescription management, clinical review of every refill, prior authorization support with your insurance, and ongoing monitoring by our medical team.

In obesity medicine, refills are not routine renewals like a blood pressure medication from a primary care office. Each one requires clinical review by a provider who knows your case. That continuous oversight is what keeps treatment safe and effective, and it is what your membership covers.

How much do weight loss medications like Wegovy or Zepbound cost?

Medication costs are separate from our program fees and are filled through your pharmacy. GLP-1 pricing is set by the manufacturers and is consistent across the industry no matter where you get your prescription. What we do is help you navigate it: our team assists with prior authorizations, insurance coverage, and lower-cost FDA-approved medication alternatives that have been used safely for decades when GLP-1s aren't the right fit or aren't affordable.

Is there a lower-cost way to start Zepbound or Wegovy if I'm paying cash?

Often, yes. For self-pay patients, we frequently have access to one-month starter kits of Zepbound and Wegovy that can save you close to $300 on your first month of medication. Availability varies and we can't guarantee a kit for every patient, but it's one of the first things we check when insurance doesn't cover your medication. Ask about starter kits at your first visit.

What if I can't afford brand-name GLP-1 medications?

You still have options, and this is exactly the kind of problem our team solves every week. For patients who qualify, we offer FDA-approved weight loss medications that can cost as low as $30 a month, options we've prescribed safely for more than two decades. Depending on your situation, we can also look at manufacturer savings programs and insurance prior authorization support. The right path depends on your health picture and budget, so we go through it with you at your visit. Call 603-379-6500 and we'll walk you through what's currently available.

Does insurance cover the program?

We don't bill insurance for our visits. Most insurance plans offer little or no coverage for medical weight loss care, and staying out of the insurance game is part of how we keep our prices as low as possible. What we do provide, and have for over two decades, is a detailed letter and receipt after your visits that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many patients recover part of their cost this way. Program fees may also be eligible for HSA or FSA funds; check with your plan administrator.

Does insurance cover GLP-1 medications like Wegovy or Zepbound?

Sometimes, and it's complicated. Some insurance plans cover GLP-1 medications for weight loss, though many don't, and coverage almost always requires a prior authorization. When you become a patient, our team handles the prior authorization process for you. If your insurance won't cover it, we walk you through the self-pay options, including lower-cost FDA-approved alternatives.

Do you offer telemedicine?

Yes. Telemedicine visits give you the same one-on-one, physician-led care as our North Hampton office, anywhere in New Hampshire. No driving, no missed work, no weather.

Do you offer meal replacements or other nutrition products?

Yes. Through our sister store, Seacoast Nutrition, you can order the same medically designed, high-protein meal replacement shakes, bars, soups, and snacks we use in our clinic program, selected and taste-tested by Dr. Warren and our team. Many patients use these Fast Track foods to jump-start their progress and simplify food choices in the early weeks. Order online at seacoastnutrition.com or ask about them at your visit.

Why choose PHWC over an online weight loss app with a low monthly price?

Because we're the opposite of a big online platform, and that's the point. Online-only companies sell subscription access to a prescription, often with a rotating cast of providers who've never seen your chart before. At PHWC, you're cared for by the same small team that knows you: Dr. Jennifer Warren, the first physician in New Hampshire board-certified in obesity medicine, and our nurse practitioner Pat, who has been with the practice for 18 years. Together with our nutritionists and support staff, that's decades of combined experience in one small practice where service is everything.

We evaluate the hidden medical causes of weight gain like thyroid issues, sleep apnea, and medication side effects, adjust your treatment at every visit, and stay with you long term. That level of oversight is what produces lasting results and keeps patients safe.

How do I get started?

Call 603-379-6500 or request an appointment online. A $95 deposit books your first visit and counts toward your $295 first visit fee. We see patients in North Hampton and by telemedicine across New Hampshire.
